Smile
Library II
Why
is a smile library helpful?
You may have several reasons for providing cosmetic simulations to your
patients - to promote cosmetic services, to update the technology and
image of the practice and its staff, or to maximize the impact of digital
photography. If so, you may already realize that a smile library is
the key to making simulations practical and effective. Localized cosmetic
changes such as fixing a chipped tooth, lengthening a tooth, or closing
a diastema, can be simulated using the tools in your imaging software.
When the case involves more teeth, it is faster and easier to use a
smile library. Can you make your own library in Dentrix Image®
Yes -- if you have enough cases, enough time, and appropriate photography.
Experience has shown that in most practices this typically does not
materialize.
Smart
Technology has developed smile libraries since 1997. Smile Library II
was developed specifically for Dentrix Image®
-- to help the dental staff show aesthetic and restorative possibilities,
help patients envision restorative possibilities from their digital
photographs, and facilitate simulations that might otherwise not be
practical.
